The Johannes Wagner School in Nürtingen is a
school for the hearing impaired and those with
speech impediments with a boarding school
attached. (Primary school, secondary modern
and intermediate schools and nursery). At the
secondary intermediate school,

& Co. KG, Stuttgart fitted an approx 230 m2
spot-welded-grid to a mounting bar encased
in concrete. Individual mats were welded one
below the other so that they were fixed.
29 ecophon suspended ceiling panels
(size: 1.20 x 2.40m) and 72 ecophon
suspended ceiling panels (size 1.20 x 1.20m)
were hung at three different heights with wire
cable. Lighting, motion detectors and smoke
detectors were integrated into the suspended
ceiling panels. Additionally, fire-stop penetration
seals with promat sheets and soft bulk-head
sealants with Hilti as well as F 90 GK walls
manufactured with plasterboard.
120m2 aqua-panels were mounted
outdoors. In the nursery, 41 ecophon suspended
ceiling panels (size 1.20 x 2.40m) and
8 ecophon suspended ceiling panels
(size 1.20 x 1.20m) were mounted in the corridors.
In the group rooms, 23 ecophon suspended
ceiling panels (size 1.20 x 2.40m)
as well as 180m2 facing shell mounted with Knauf
hard plaster panels.
